Summer is Underway at ABC Academy!

Summer days are in full swing around here with watermelon slices, popsicles, splash pads, sprinklers, and plenty of sunshine-filled adventures! 🍉🍦💦

Of course, summer is all about balance. After cooling off outside, we’re heading indoors for quieter activities like story time, coloring, painting, princess and dragon dress-up, and lots of imaginative play. Some of the best learning happens when children are simply pretending, creating, and exploring together.

While the children are enjoying their summer fun, I’m spending evenings and weekends on the back porch preparing for several national early childhood conferences coming up in July. I’m excited to share ideas, hands-on activities, and practical strategies with educators from across the country.

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend our state conference, leaving inspired and full of new ideas to bring back to the classroom, my presentations, and the resources we’re creating through Back Porch Play Co.
